Redesigning Life and the Garden!!!

    Self-seeded Butternut Squash seedlings in compost pile!    Time to get on a serious schedule for updating this blog!!    It has been almost a year since I posted here but have just discontinued a subscription one which I also wasn’t using much!!   So this is the year to build the blog, and redesign the garden to make it more labor-efficient while downsizing (with the sometime-down-the-road intention of moving into a smaller place!!!)   Perhaps the title of this should be “Redesigning Life”!!!         We have had such a warm/cold and very wet winter that it has been impossible to get anything done outside.    I also recently took a trip to Guatemala where I visited many beautiful botanical gardens so naturally now the weather has done an about-turn and turned into a late spring/early summer.   Heating to Air conditioning overnight!!  Our average “last frost” date is March 2 nd or 3 rd , but o...
